Cool First Glipses at Ultimate Racing's upgraded turbo kit!

i've seen the car in person and it's pretty dope stuff. check it out...

They're using a Garrett twin ball-bearing turbocharger so should see some ultra fast spool with minimal lag.

Just talked to UR via AIM... looks like the kit will cost around $4800-4900 and will be bolt-on... no need to fabricate anything. The kit will include the following...

~ Garrett Twin Ball-Bearing Turbocharger
~ Tubular Manifold
~ HKS GT Wastegate w/ V-band clamp
~ dump-pipe for wastegate
~ adapter piece for downpipe
~ all lines, fitting, etc

The guy could not disclose the size of the Garrett turbo but said it will be of the T3/T4 series.

There'd better be a heat sheild in a completed installation. A lot of stuff would burn up if you ran it the way the pictures show.

i asked them about the heatshield...they said that the manifold will be HPC coated to 2000F. have you ever tried this coating? it's amazing. you can actually work under the hood after the car had been on a hard hard run! you can braise the manifold with your arm and it won't burn you!

The HKS kit can be had for $4200 USD. The UR kit looks like good quality and I'm sure it makes more power than the smaller 3037, but $5000 is a tad too much without included fuel components.

Bushur is working on the manifold that will allow us to bolt on most foward rotating turbo's like the DSM's use, and the price in his thread was near the $2500 range w/o fuel components.

AMS has theorized around low $4000 for their complete kit.

Not trying to start a flame war with UR, the kit looks completely bad ***.
