No, but bad bearings can lead to damaged seals. It seems likely that your problem may be due to excess crankcase pressure. The easiest thing to do at this point would be to check that none of the hoses going to your catch can are clogged. Another possibility is that your oil return flow is restricted in some way.

Correct me if im wrong but white smoke would be a coolant leak not oil, Oil is usually blue smoke. Have you done a leakdown test, or checked the head gasket?
