I'm considering the buschur racing complete turbo back exhaust with the upgraded cat. Will i run into any CEL problems? Also, would this raise my boost pressure to the point where it wouldn't be safe to run? The car is completely stock.

I have a question for those that have only a cat-back exhaust on an otherwise stock vehicle, without any supplemental boost control (i.e no MBC or piggybacks). Did your boost increase, stay the same, or decrease? I have searched and it seems that turbo-back exhausts increase boost slightly and muffler delete pipes decrease it slightly. Not much has been discussed regarding boost and cat-backs. Thanks.

Gumpy,

The 3" cat back we offer with the flange bolts to the stock cat. Our normal full 3" system is slip fit together. What you will need to do is take the reducer and flange off the cat back you are getting now and then slid the new system over.

The full exhaust system with the cat we offer will not throw a CEL. The offroad version doesn't either as long as that is how it is ordered initially.

For those of you considering a titanium exhaust I can only assume it is for the weight. I just want to remind you all that we have a full stainless steel system that is VERY light. You may find that the additional weight savings over our system is not worth the extra money. Our system including the downpipe, offroad pipe and the cat back weigh in at only 23 pounds, this is 37 pounds lighter than stock! We offer this complete system for $750. This system is quiet at cruise but anywhere else is pretty aggressive. We have the polished SS Magnaflow muffler we can use that weighs in only 3 pounds heavier and really makes the system sound nice. This muffler is $20 more.
We also offer this system with the JDM look. We have a four inch straight cut tip that angles out to the side like the JDM look does, we can also blue the tip ends if that is what you want. These two options cost you nothing extra.

Just trying to do our best to serve you guys.

I already have a 3" downpipe and was interested in your high flow cat and catback, my question is it possible to get your high flow cat to work with my downpipe?

The pictures of the JDM style muffler are on our website. They are in the corner of the exhaust picture, just double click them.

IF you downpipe is truly 3" then it should be easy to make our parts work. All you will have to do is cut off the reducer on the back of your 3" downpipe and slide our parts right over it.

Do you have a picture of your high flow cat? I couldn't find one at the website.

I would also consider you guys look into our turbo back systems. They are constructed of all SS material. They feature

3" SS mandrel bent piping
3" SS flex section
3" SS JDM N1 style muffler/4"tip

includes all mounting hardware including SS band clamps

We have these on sale right now
3" SS Turbo Back $699

We are selling a lot of these every week. We can hardly build them as fast as they are ordered. We stress that our products are of highest quality.

Potsu8,
No offense or anything, please don't take this wrong. The RMR system that you posted pictures of, if nothing else should be quiet.
The stock cat in a 3" system? This means reducers on both ends, one on the downpipe and one on the catback. Then you have TWO resonators after that, that is like having 3 mufflers in your system.
I am not flaming you or RMR. I am just pointing out that for someone wanting a quiet system, maybe this is the way to go. For someone looking to make the maximum power for his money spent this is not it.
We have a really good solution for guys wanting quiet and powerful and it is CHEAP. For a guy that is looking to keep the car quiet and still wants a good flowing system we suggest just upgrading to our 2.5" downpipe and a muffler delete pipe. I would be willing to guess these two parts would make as much power as the 3" that you put up in the pictures.

Hope I didn't offend you.

Hi there Mr. Bushur!

No problem...thanks for your opinion and suggestions . I knew that my system is not the way to go for horsepower but I want a quiet system. I also have a 3" downpipe installed (not pictured) and a 3" cat delete pipe (not installed).

No doubt your system is awesome and that's why majority of evo owners that have your system is putting out like a ****.

The exhaust you saw is just temporary and will make my own (3.5") when I step up to BIG turbo category. Isn't it you have a 3.5" exhaust for 1G? Why not make one for the evo? You probably have one ready to be tested...

Cheers,
Robert
