Hi guys,
I'll be ordering an Apexi R-95 Ti for my Evo 8 in the next 2 months, but I'd like to know one thing will I be having any problems if I replace my cat with an RMR test pipe ?
Any pics of the R-95 installed on an Evo 8 ?
Thanks in advance....

I've been going through a lot of these threads and can't seem to find too many complaints about the B&B turb back system. It seems to give a very big HP gain and has a good tone to it. I am buying a slightly used one- and just wanted to make sure everything looked good from a consumer report type standpoint.
Anyone have anyhting to say about the B&B turboback?

Size: Full 3", no reducers, no resonators and no un-needed bends
Tubing: 304 grade stainless steel, will not rust or rot.
Weight: Full turbo back system, downpipe, offroad pipe and catback, only 23.5 pounds for the complete system. (Stock is 60 pounds, this is a 36 pound weight savings)
Type of bends: CNC mandrel bent
Welding process: Stainless steel TIG welded hangers and flanges
Magazine testing: Recently won the highest power producing catback exhaust for your EVO8 in TPR Magazine.
Cost for a complete 3" turbo back: $775. System can be purchased in seperate pieces too.
Lowest cost, highest grade of materials, highest flowing and lighest weight. What else can you possibly ask for in an exhaust?

how loud is it?
there really needs to be a standardized test for the dB rating of exhaust systems. like an inside rating and an outside rating. also, there should be a frequency plot to show where the noise is coming from (i.e. rattling metal, or just a low growl). this would sell me on an exhaust system for sure. i am looking for SS, light weight, moderately quiet, and good gains in power.
the reason i say standardized is because one company might use a different microphone for recording and dB testing it. additionaly if tested in a garage it will be louder then outside, and if the microphone is placed in a node, or antinode will cause skewed results.
i am certain the standardized dB ratings will help sell exhaust systems because i for one would use it as a purchasing tool.

I can't match the price of a used system, we beat B&B in that magazine test for power, they were actually one of the lowest HP producing systems tested.
How loud is our regular system that I quoted about? Loud. The system is also available with the Maganaflow muffler for an additional $20, this makes the system very nice, with a legal high flow cat in the system it is then on the quiet side but still aggressive at WOT.
Hard to describe an exhaust in the sound department. There are sound clips all over EVOM though.

The magazine that did the testing was TPR Magazine. You can look through here and find links to the article. I had typed most of the results up on the Engine, Turbo, Driveline forum on EVOM. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
smp, good luck with the exhaust, if higher weight and less power is what you are looking for then so be it.
