I really don't understand it, can someone break it down why they chose this route, please don't justify it with only that I got single digit horse power gain.

The converters break down compounds of nitrogen and oxygen from car exhaust that can combine with hydrocarbons but in the process can create Nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is a potent greenhouse gas, more than 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

The sound of a broken-in Greddy Ti-C (with 3" DP and cat) at WOT in a tunnel was described as "terrifying" by my friend (who has an E46 M3 with wonderfully loud Supersprint race mufflers)

A less restrictive exhaust system by and large means more power, even if it is a measly 8hp.

The real benefit is when that 8hp is coupled with all the other measly gains from other parts that equate to a much greater number.

Hey,

Anyone recommend me a turbo outlet, down pipe and straight through for my JDM Evo 7?

Anyone know if the Megan/Invidia down pipes will fit and also the Invidia turbo outlet?

So far I have looked at the Megan/Invidia stuff as they seem very good value for money and have also sent off an email to Buschur racing.

HELP!!?!

Oh and I already have an Apexi RS catback exhaust.

I'm looking at getting an exhaust for my 05' RS and am interested in the Megan Racing Black cat back exhaust. I was wondering if it is possible that this exhaust would fit on the evo 8 even though it says it for an evo 9?

I don't think so, because on the Evo9 they don't have the rear O2 on the catback its inside the cat. So there is no way you can plug the rear O2 in, unless you know how to tune your car and eliminate the rear O2. But that is another topic and thread. Check the tuning threads or search eliminate rear O2 if this is what you want. Also on the Evo9 exhaust it doesn;t have a neck down on the cat back.

Unfortunately the Apex Noir robs about 20-30 whp in some places the piping is more restrictive than stock.

I haven't read through the entire thread yet. But it's pretty much established that the Greddy Ti-C exhaust is one of the loudest ones out there? What are some other close competitors for loudness and weight savings. Please excuse my ricer question

^do you remember my exhaust? thats the greddy ti-c that doesnt come with a resonator on the midpipe. that was without the silencer.

you can also look into Buschur Racing's tbe, ETS 3.5 inch (supposedly loud), etc

obviously, titanium exhaust are the lightest, because they are Ti.
