How does the Hi-Power sound on the highway when cruising? Does it drone?

So I have searched and read through this entire thread and have not found my answer

I have a 3 inch dp and hfc (not installed yet)

I've been trying to get a cat-back but I have a certain set of standards lol so if anyone knows of an exhaust that meets all of these please let me know

I want a cat-back that does not taper (3 inches all the way), o2 bung on the pipe (Evo 8), no resonators (straight through pipe), and preferably uses stock hangers

The only two I have found were the Perrin cat-back and the Helix cat-back but I don't believe the helix is made anymore and I order the Perrin exhaust only to find out a week later that the order didn't go through because that exhaust is also discontinued.

Also, I liked what I heard about the Ultimate Racing cat-back but I've heard that on an Evo 8 there is some wire splicing that needs to be done because the o2 bung is in the test pipe/hfc and not the cat-back itself.

Does such an exhaust exist?

^you are looking for greddy competition ti-c.

its a full 3 inch, has a 02 bung on the mid pipe, no resonator and it uses the stock hangers.

i installed mine with a help of a fellow evo owner back in December. I made 309awhp with the same parts u have (dp, hfc, cat back + 02 housing, mbc, ER tune).

Over all, the exhaust is awesome, it sounds really nice at wot but not obnoxious on regular driving. tis kind of loud but nice loud, not annoying rattle can at all. not to mention the nice Ti muffler tip that it has.

this could be the exhaust you are looking for.

Is anyone running the black Megan racing exhaust that comes with a resonator? I am tempted to try it but don't want anything that might taper or is raspy.

Alright so right now I'm thinking of getting a new exhaust soon. The previous owner had an ATR Pitbull exhaust (never heard of it before). The exhaust is good for now but it's just loud and not that deep, plus it sticks out of the rear bumper like 2 1/2". I'm looking for a really deep sounding exhaust, but not incredibly loud. I kinda want it to be like my friends exhaust, he has an STi and his muffler tip (idk what exhaust it is) looks like it has a 5" diameter, it huge lol and ******* loud. I've heard good things about Greddy and AMS, what would you guys recommend?
