Its surprisingly not bad considering the downpipe. I can have conversations with my wife without having to raise my voice. However, if I am racing around then it can get loud but even then it is not intolerable.

Right now I'm torn between a few exhaust. I already have a dp, a straight pipe, and a loud exhaust that drones, badly. I've somewhat narrowed it down to...
ETS 3" DP back or Catback w/ hfc
Buschur Magnaflow Catback
Buschur's Jun B.L. Catback
and maybe an ebay exhaust.

Anyone want to chime in with your (probably biased) opionions?

I want one that is quiet at idle but mean at WOT.

I dont think any of those are going to quiet your car down a whole lot other than maybe the ETS with a hfc. I have the Jun bl with test pipe and downpipe and if the car was my daily I would be changing exhaust.

who makes a 3" catback with an oval muffler and no taper? The only ones I've seen from magnaflow taper and the one from RNR is unavailable anywhere I've checked. There are plenty of canister style options but where are the oval catback solutions? Quiet yet 3" full

I'm going with Tanabe Medalion Touring (with BR DP and Mil.Spec HFC)after a ton of research here. I plan to do some comparison vids vs. stock. i've been told the Mil.Spec has passed VA emissions.

Wj,

The tanabe tapers and is not a full 3". Taper will cause some turbulence and hurt flow. I am going to go with the muse catback since its vband and cheaper. Ill post up when i get it installed. Where do u get work done?

You could keep your eye on the market for a used Cobb catback to pop up, and run something else in the meantime to hold you over. I think that'll fit your needs perfectly. It's a bummer Cobb doesn't offer them any more.

the neck down to 2.75 is only inside the can. I don't think that would matter because the pipe is perforated at that point and it's only inches from the open end. indeed, i've seen a car making 500 whp with this pipe.

anyway, we'll see soon enough with my build.

Soo what's louder, the ets catback or the buschur bullet? and how loud?.
For instance, my current exhaust setup I can't hear myself talk normal when crusing around 3k rpm (right before 4th gear, and highway cruisin around 80mph). Also its really loud at idle.

If I have to I might get myself to spend ~700 on a new Greddy Evo 2, but the look doesn't fancy me, and the buschur magnaflow looks fugly IMO.

Also anyone have any input on the Greddy RS (racing sport) it sounds pretty good in the video on their sight.

Just wanted to add this video of the Tomei Expreme Ti exhaust sound clip I made here.

Hope it convinces someone to buy it because I love it
