The stock sensor light in dash still intalled dosen't flash... after a heavy run what is the normal oil pressure on idle 600-700 rpm ?

I was seeing 35 psi after warmup (if i remember right) but over 100 when cold. I coudl be wrong on the warmed up pressure though. I only got to drive the car 2 times with the pressure sensor.

Mine does that to. Under 20psi but I have a idle issue and a Tial BOV currently on stock ecu and idle drops and car sometimes turns off because of it. Normal psi should be about 30ish from what I was told at full temp. I've also been told low pressure could be a oil pump going bad or bearings

I see way below 20 once the car is warm at idle. probably... 10 - 15? When cruising i see about 80. 100psi when car is cold, or romping on it.

Oil presure is a funny thing. It depends where you get the signal. It also depends on the oil weight, and the temp. The hotter and lighter oils will show a lower psi. I suppose the best way to observe it, is record the inital psi and parameters, and go from there.

Well said.

My Defi oil pressure sensor is mounted on the side of the block and the pressure readings are much lower than what somebody would read if the sensor were mounted at the oil filter.

At idle my pressure can be as low as 5 psi.

When fully warmed up I sit between 10-20 psi at idle and 70-80 psi at a 3k rpm cruise. This is with a Defi gauge and sensor on the oil filter housing.

Anywhere between 4 (hot idle) and 150 psi (cold start and driving).

I have the defi gauge and the sensor mounted on the oil filter housing, I usually sit about 80-85 at a cruise and around a 100psi at wide open throttle. I noticed something interesting today though with the idle reading. I changed the oil and was running the longer skinnier oil filter and at idle a lot of the time psi would drop to 4 and sometimes 0 and the car would die. Today I went to the shorter fatter filter and I'm holding a more steady reading just below 20 psi at idle after the car is warmed up and the car didn't die at all.... all of which made me come to EvoM searching for how much psi I should be seeing.

i think oil weights with your pressure would be a bit more helpful
