What is this?

That SILVER NUT You will see this when you are standing on driver side..underneath intake manifold and uicp
attach to a black part of the engine and has wire connected to it, (which now disconnected pic 1).

Now the STORY.

Im supposed to dyno tune for 109 oct but tuner had to stop due to
multiple knocks from 3200 rpm all the way up top with ZERO timing.

My car is built 2.3 with stock head, ix turbo and 264/272 cams..
Tuner suspected something mechanical problem...after researching i was able to find What
i thought knock sensor...

The Condition i found it.

It was somewhat loose (can turn with my finger with moderate effort)
metal TAB connected was partly broke but halfly connected.

Is this the problem?

Why don't you be a bit more specific, add an arrow or circle to narrow down WTF you're talking about.

That's not the knock sensor wire from the looks of it. There is a 2 pin connector for that sensor. That looks like a VDO oil pressure sender or something.
