Going for a tune...Do I need headstuds?
I'm actually getting tuned at EFI logics in Bethel. Another forum I'm on is having a tune weekend there with awesome prices. I got the spot early, but he's booked now. I know where ECS is...their new location in windsor locks is 5 mins from my house. What time you getting tuned?? I'll swing by if I have some time.
cheap insurance +1 +2 +3 +4 +5 +6 its not a bad thing, 120 for the studs or 120 for resurface head plus studs, plus allot of cleaning and possible more damamge. Its easy to think about.
I'm getting ARP's installed right now. We're putting in a new headgasket, timing belt at the same time - it's about due anyways. Some people seem to be able to run higher boost and be ok; my car was running hot late last year and I think it started to push some coolant. Putting in the ARP's for insurance even though I'm not running high boost anymore.
My local mechanic strongly recommended "surfacing the head and possibly a valve job if it's dirty enough" while we're at it.
