I tested with 60 psi for leaks, then dropped the pressure to 10 psi and started the car.

That's right out of the instructions. They say to have it at 5-10 psi when you first start the car to fill it up. At idle - full it reads about 90 psi.

I think you can just use the similar plug located on the side.
thanks for this info guys. exactly what i was looking for as i'm about to install mine this weekend.

btw this port is actually 3/8 BSP (british standard pipe) but they are so close pitchwise it should seal ok.

20 feet will do it for sure. I can't remember the exact length but I bought stuff too short on the first try!

Are you guys confident that the two ports in the oil filter housing are interchangable?

FP's oil feed line (from the filter) instructions state that one of the ports is for pre-filter "dirty" oil, and the other is post-filter "clean" oil.

Are they right or wrong?

I'm not totally sure....

But when I pulled the rear plug it looked like it was a machining access point for creating an "L" shaped passage, and it looked like it went to the other port.

Nils might know for sure....

nice installation,
would it affect pressure that the hose is too long?
