New Timing belt questions

Well Im almost at 60,000 miles and I know I need to change my timing belt. I was wondering what other services should be done at the same time. Please disregard fluids as Im constantly keeping those fresh.

Also curious as if I should stay with an oem replacement belt or get something aftermarket.

The dealer wants $210.00 for timing belt change alone. Im afraid to deal with them because Im sure theyre going to tell me I need a bunch of other things done in conjunction. (water pump, other belts, etc.)

Im just looking for some advice here before I empty the wallet. All replies appreciated fellas. Im in the south florida area if anyone can reccommend a decent shop.

Water pump, head gasket(if you are pulling head), hydraulic timing belt tensioner, possibly idler pullies, all gaskets, go with an aftermarket belt. Same thing just a lot stronger.

Also, balance shaft belt.

X2, you may not need to change the hydraulic tensioner cause its good up to 120,000kms. but if ur in there change it anyway!

120,000 Kilometers= ~70,000 mi

if you change the belt, change the tensioner

I'm at 57,000 so I'm about to do this job too. I'm doing the works - pump, pulleys, tensioner. I don't want to spend my time behind the wheel wondering what will fail.

Also, notice they recommend replacing all coolant hoses at 60k - I think there are eight hoses. And, I'm going to install a new thermostat.
