I know this has been covered, but no real answers have been given.

Well I have to have my car's emissions done here very shortly.

My '03 Evo has just about everything done to it with exception of stock 8 turbo and stock block. My Evo's currently running e85 and planning on putting cosworth m2 cams in this week.

Here they do, do a sniffer and inspection test and also run an ODB II Scan.

I'll be putting the stock cat back on the car for emissions of course, but was wondering if the 272 cams will fail me in my test. Any help would be appreciated.

As long as you have a functioning cat and no check engine light, then there is no reason you would fail.

 

We have a sniffer test here though, so I'm a bit concerned on the Hydrocarbon Count

 

i think u should be ok. i had hks 264/272. but if u dont pass u can go back for free. stock cat will help A LOT. i think when i went i got 3. something HC and when i put my stock exhaust on.. it was like 0.7 or something like that?
all that plus e85 u should be good to go.. ill have to go to emissions this comming year, post up if you pass or not
