Smile Any difference in perf between the FP red (64mm inlet) and the newRed (80 mm)?

Hey....does anyone have an experience in recognizing the difference in performance between the normal FP red with the 64 mm inlet and new modified one with the 80mm inlet (new cover)?

Any difference in spool? mid range? top end? holding boost?

If i already have a normal one, does it makes sense to change?

Thanks guys

I have posted in another thread that it cleared up my surging at high boost in 4th gear, it makes and awesome sound now, and seems to spool sooner and be smoother through out the rpm range. It is worth it...

So far there hasn't been too much hard data comparison yet but it's worth it.

I got my red in August of 08. I would not say it made any difference in power but definitely is more reponsive and controled. At 30psi it would surge badly in 4th and now it hits and holds steady, droping a little just before redline. I don't think that it would matter if it was rebuilt. I believe the only thing salvaged would be the caseing/housing, the rest would be new.
