Evo VIII slight hesitation at WOT?

Hey guys, I just recently got my 03 Evo VIII and I love it. I'm pretty familiar with working on turbocharged vehicles, as I was a turbo honda guy before this, but there's one thing that has me a little stumped.

Sometimes, not always, under wide open throttle in 2nd or 3rd gear, the car seems to kind of hiccup a little bit. I wouldn't say it bucks, it's not very severe at all, it just hesitates a bit. It never does it under part throttle, the car isn't throwing any codes, and it runs great otherwise, but I just feel like it shouldn't be doing it. The car had a few things done to it when I bought it. Mods are as follows:

HKS Intake
unknown aftermarket 02 housing
Invidia DP
Espelir JGT500 exhaust
Apex'i SAFC II
Hallman MBC at 24psi

Where should I look first? I'm tempted to turn the car back down to 19psi, but the SAFC shows 0 knock throughout the powerband. Before anyone says it, I know the SAFC isn't the best, but I feel that it's adequate for the minimal modifications my car has.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Alright, I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Any recommendations for the type of plugs/gap?

What are you logging with to know that you aren't getting knock?

Not sure if the SAFC can show knocks. You'll need to log data using either EvoScanner or Mitsulogger to see if there's true knocks. I would def. turn down the boost. GL

Is the built in knock sensor in the SAFC not adequate? I've never been sure if I could trust it or not.

I'm pretty confident in it for what I have right now but I think I will turn it back down until I get better engine management. Going to get some new plugs now, wish me luck guys.
