I would do the internals first. Get all the BIG work out of the way first.
But then again, what is your final goal with the car? Is it big turbo and cams, or just minor bolt ons!?

personally I would go with option #1. Are you on stock clutch/tranny? If so that is good to know but you might end up having to go with option #2 as you continue with your mods and option #1.
