HELP GUYS where is located the fuel filter????
By the way, I was hesitant about replacing the fuel filter on my DSM. There were too many stories about twisted off fuel lines. So I let it go until 120K. When I did replace it, it was a piece of cake. Since the old filter was in service for so long I cut it open to see how badly it was plugged. Nothing! I could have left it on there forever. Well, it appears Mitsubishi figured out the same thing.
The fuel filter on a Evo is a non serviceable part. You have to purchase a new fuel pump assembly to replace the filter. There is also the sock on the bottom of the fuel pump which can be replaced.
