Help with MIVEC camgear

I installed a set of cams last weekend and I disassembled the mivec camgear thinking i can see the dowel pin from the outside of the gear. But i believe i reassembled it wrong cause now the car is giving me code p0011 which is variable valve timing system problem. does anyone know how the gear is suppose to go together ? Or do i need a new gear ?

Wish I could help but I have never taken one apart(mitsu mivec that is) I have taken other manufacture vvti apart and have had good luck when reassembled as they are quite simple inside. I wish I could help you out but like I said, never had the pleasure of taking one of these apart. Check in the F/S section of the forum as you see the mivec cam gear(intake side) for sale every once and a while. It would be a much cheaper option then buying one from Mitsu. Make sure that you didn't unplug the mivec solenoid and forget to plug it back in before shopping around for another cam gear.
