ETS front mount intercooler

Hello guys,

I'm going to buy the ETS front mount intercooler with the lower pipe. however, I'm not really sure what size should I buy, 3" or 3.5"? My car has a TBE and K&N drop in filter. What is the stock intercooler's size?

Thanks

I would probably just get a manual boost controller, tune the car and set it at not more than 21 psi.

ya i would go with the 3.5'' in case u wanna heavily mod the car down the road. but check and see if u would need to modify the crash bar , i heard it was either the 3.5'' or the 4'' cores need some modifications.

Its on the 4". One thing to remember is always get something you can grow into because you don't want to end up buying another one down the road.

You can def run more than 21lbs. On pump 92, most the guys up in the NW are running 25lbs-27lbs on stock turbo thanks to the greatest tuner ever, Aaron at English Racing. That's will 0 knock count too!

If your goal is withing 350-600, you can stay with the 3", but for 100 dollars more, you can get a 3.5"...

No smaller then a 3.5. a 3" is barely an upgrade over stock. If your gonna spend the money on a new IC I couldnt justify spending the money to get anything smaller then a 3.5".

PM sent... Dude def go bigger! You need a 3.5" or a 4" if you plan to go over 400 on pump, it will help you achieve that. The only down side to a large intercooler is the turbo lag but its not that bad. I couldn't tell between a stock and 3.5".

The thing is Im not in NW, Im in Bahrain where there is no true Evo tuner and we have only 91 octane!

So I see that most of you recommend the 3.5". One last thing, do you recommend buying the 3.5" even if I keep it under 350whp? I mean is it benefitial?
Thanks alot guys, I have no one to ask except you
