MR 6 speed made stronger?

is there a way of making the 6 speed more stronger and reliable? i know everyone recommends swaping for a 5 speed for maximum strength. Quite expensive i think since im only pushing for 400+/- whp, i've heard quife sells straight cut gears for the 6 speed and some people have fitted larger oil coolers(?)

I havent broken anything yet but who knows....

Option - $450 6spd to 5spd conversion kit (must be purchased with a new or rebuilt transmission)

so 2850$$$ + 450$ + shipping to iceland + tolls and customs which are the largest criminal organization here, i'll probably have my brand spanking new 5 speed for 5500$$$ which isnt really an option cus due to my countrys credit crunch almost 3 month salary + putting the damn thing in..

must be a cheaper way

2850 if you buy a brand new transmission. 895 + 450 if you send them your transmission and let them work their magic.

if the 6 speed can handle the fq400, you are okay. but if you are looking more than 400hp then you need it built.

our currency compared to the dollar blows, so its still a **** amount of cash...

dont think i can afford that if something breaks..

im really excited about quife strght cut gears i know some guys with wrx with straight cuts and those hold out fine, and the mr 6 speeds are 3 times better than the wrx box

that could work?

TRE has an improved gear set coming out for the 6 speed. I think it's gears 4-5-6. SUpposedly this will retail for around $1500, but Jon has been letting very little info out at this point.

TRE go under? I hope you're not spreading unsubstantiated rumors.

Supposedly the 6 speed gear set is undergoing testing.
