And I dont mean that in a good way. Yesterday my boost was perfect and my car sounded good, I was testing some logs in evo scan and I was getting knock but I eventually got it to have around 0 knock. But eventually during one of the pulls my intercooler pipe blew off and from then on Ive had nothing but trouble.
I put the pipe on and thought it would be all good but when i started driving whenever i start spooling it sounds like a gokart except its not from the exhaust its from the turbo whistling. Its really really loud I can hear the turbo spooling louder than the exhaust so I am assuming I have a boost leak. I havent done a boost leak test (will do tomorrow) but I did check over all the hoses and clamps and all seems well.
What else besides a boost leak could cause this?
Also some other info, under partial throttle boost my afr will go down to 10 but when im full throttle my afr is 11.1 which Im usually at 11.6. Also even though my afrs are low im still getting high counts of knock.

I dont have aftermarket motor mounts. The pipe that blew off was the one connected to the j pipe.

A whistle=boost leak. You are also running richer which is also a common boost leak sign.
ok found the problem. the clamp that holds the turbo and the hotside together fell off so air was just escaping through there like crazy. Its weird though cuz I was still getting 25 pounds of boost. All fixed now but Im just wondering why do you guys think this broke off?
