In the Process of Adjusting Clutch Pedal Please help!!
Hi Guys-
I'm in the Process of Adjusting the clutch pedal with this How to:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...djustment.html
Every one I have talked to said they haven't had to use a 6mm Wrench to turn the rod for adjustment.. and that they just use their hand to turn it.. Mine is not wanting to turn anymore and rod is actually really short right now.. so is it a must to use a 6mm wrench to turn the rod? Have any of you had to do this to adjust the pedal? Seems like a major PITA, especially since you can only use a little 6mm open wrench in that tight space .. My engagement is too high right now, which is why I wanted to lower it some . Please let me know if you can help, thanks so much!

I usually have to take one hand and push down on the pedal while the other hand turns the adjustment shaft at the same time. If I just attempt to move the shaft alone it's too stiff from the pressure pushing on the pedal. Wiggle the pedal as you turn the shaft.

so you push the clutch pedal with force and then turn the rod? or you just tap it a little bit (wiggle)?
You'll see what I mean if you try it. Keep pressure with one hand attempting to spin the rod the direction you want it to go and with the other hand work the pedal. You'll feel the rod come lose.

Either way will work. If you're lowering the pedal then pushing in on it will help you turn that adjustment rod. The only reason it's hard to turn is the spring pressure pushing the pedal up is putting pressure on the threads of that rod keeping them from turning. If you push in on the pedal you slacken the pressure and the rod spins. The same thing happens if you wiggle it a little.

thanks for the responses sir !
Good deal! Let us know if it eliminates your issues. Also note, you will probably have to adjust it dozens of times to get it perfect. Adjust - Drive - Repeat. Once you get it "perfect" it will be well worth it. Took me forever!
