problem. lines cut.
problem. lines cut.
Ok guys, since i got my evo about a year ago this two line were cut an not plugged. I don't know where they got to but i know they start at a sensor underneath the manifold and fuel rail. It's an evo 8 and i been having some problems with it lately, i don't have a boost gauge or vac gauge.
The third pic was taken from underneath the car. I have the right passenger axle right in front of me and up from it is where the lines start. You can't see the sensor because is a bit deeper in the engine. Hope this helps.

Those might be from the Evap Solenoid? All I knew is there are a few vacuum lines behind the intake manifold that people regularly have leaks from.
If you don't have idle issues with those disconnected the previous owner might have deleted that solenoid. Search for a diagram of the vacuum line routing throughout the motor to trace where those are coming from. It's some where on this forum.

Here's a pic of the intake manifold off w/ all the lines still connected. The pic was taken to inform people what to take off when removing the EGR and Evap solenoids. From the pictures you took, it looks like you have one hose w/ an orange stripe and one w/ a blue stripe. It looks like maybe they are the two ends that should be connected to the EGR valve. It's kind of a pain to get to, but check to see if you have any hoses connected to your EGR valve. It's located almost directly below the throttle body. You'll have to remove your upper intercooler pipe to get a good look at it.

Well, if you're running a standalone ecu or edit the periphery bits in the stock ecu, you can remove them and not throw any codes. I don't think there's any "power" advantages. It simply helps clean up the engine bay by removing unnecessary hoses and clutter.
I had a coolant line on my honda that ran to the bottom of the throttle body. It supposedly helped on cold starts but all it did was clog and cause iradic idle, so it was removed. The newer ones don't even have it. Same kind of thing.
Thanks a lot. From this picture the lines that were cut are from the egr solenoid. But as you can see there is four lines coming out and you still have one that is unplugged at the top right corner. Where does that line connect to?
By the way, i do have idle problems, it drops to about 800-900 at stop lights, also kinda wants to die on me when I shift from high rpm's to neutral.
