comp or act
comp or act
Which system should I get. Act hdss or comp stage 3 im a d/d I do about 50mile a day so I already have 40,000 mile plus on my act but i'm on a tight budget. My car is pretty much stock.
I have the Comp Stage 3 and the Kevlar disc is definitely very daily-driver friendly. I've also driven a Stage 4 which is also fully streetable, but it is more grabby so it may take a bit more getting used to (although I was totally fine the first time I drove it so maybe not).

I have a comp stage 3 with 1,000 miles on it and I like it so far. It's smooth engaging but seems to have nice holding power. Add in the cost of an OEM throwout bearing though.
If you want to look at something different in the same price range check out the line of SPEC single disk clutch kits at MAP. They look nice. I haven't heard much about them on these boards yet.

I have a ACT HDSS with resurfaced stock flywheel and it have held up to 350whp and 360tq. on a mustang dyno fine. I have launched multiple times without any problems. I currently ran 11s on stock turbo using the HDSS clutch. Not bad for a budget clutch. Oh, and lockout problems are resolved by adjusting the clutch pedal.
Well I have an act hdss in my car right now. With 30-40k all highway mile's do yall think I could just buy an act disc and streetlite flywheel. And still use my act presuer plate.
