Intake Question

I was wondering if I was to purchase say a HKS suction air intake, would it have any adverse affects to A/F and would i get a check engine light from it. I had installed one before on my old wrx and got the light just from the intake. I tried to do a search here but had no luck finding this answer. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thxs in advance
Dan

HKS racing suction, HKS downpipe, HKS catback, getting 3" high flow cat, custom ground kit. It gave me a lil hp feel on my butt dyno. Gonna get it dynoflashed and i'll see the actualy hp.

hks rs kit, ultimate racing 3" downpipe, Ultimate racing 3" cat delete, ultimate racing 3" catback, and an hks turbo timer currently on the car.

I felt a big difference up top, down low there isn't much of a difference, I need fuel management.

nice setup i was wanting to go with basicly the same setup , but im gonna add S-AFC with a 3in turbo back with 3in high flow cat and the hks suction.I have yet to decide which exhaust i want , ive been looking around and my main choices are Buschar, Vinshu, HKS, and Ultimate. How you like the ultimate exhaust ? did you have to remove the crossmember for the downpipe or did it squeeze in.

Had my HKS RS suction kit for a few months already and no cel. I still don't understand why it would trigger a cel in the first place.

I love the ultimate exhaust, fits great, sounds better, and is of very nice quality. All of that and the cat delete doesn't trigger a cel.

As far as other mods, I have an emanage sitting around (debating on whether or not to put it in) and defi gauges.

UR exhasut is awesome and Darryl is a great guy

Just got mine installed 2 days ago... no cel, but torque curve seems too flat. I really miss the kind of pull the stock intake made. I'll be getting my Works P2 on Saturday, and I'll see if it will help.
