HKS EVC V.. works great throughout RPM's.. had a Forge MBC was good holding 24psi.. didn't go any more on MBC. I just hated going in and manualing adjusting everytime the weather changed or I went up and down the mountains..

This is true. If we're going to be tuning the car and you would like the boost set in the flash David can take care of that while doing the tuning.

We do prefer to have a boost controller in the car though just in case the owner ever needs to adjust the boost. Setting it in the ECU will not allow you (the customer) to adjust the boost unless you have a lap top, tactrix cable and the open ECU software handy. For $95 its a pretty basic great upgrade to do.

Thats interesting. We sell these daily with ZERO complaints. Most people if they buy a product and they are not happy or it gives them a problem they will call the company it came from to resolve it. I havent had a phone call related to our inline MBC unless it was to purchase it or something as simple as it was put in backwards and wouldnt control boost.

We get customers who buy our MBC's who dont even have a DSM, Evo, Subaru or Genesis. They are on anything from R32 Skylines to turbo Vipers to Supra's to GTi's and havent had any issues with them.

If you try to adjust the boost without popping the hose off the end quick it will turn the knob back down as the line would be twisted. As for leaking... the MBC has a bleed hole. ALL MBC's have one. Its not leaking boost. Its needed.

Thanks for slamming what we have come to know from the community as a good product though.
It was the old style controoler with the big looking knob thats the one that gave me issues no worries sorry about the post but it was fustrating everyday having this problem.......

If the nut was tight there was no way for the boost to be backed down. There was a issue with some of the old design MBC's with the spring sticking inside of it. Nothing with boost backing down or leaking though.

We havent had any complaints at all with the inline design.

Weather does play a roll in boost settings as well.

All is good. Thanks

If you have a FP Red and boosting 29 psi, Is it worth having a boost controller? I dont see needing much more boost after a good tune

I have the buschur mbc. It is small and holds the boost solid. The adjustment seems very fine for higher boost levels (>20), probably due to a heavy spring.

What I mean by 'fine' is that small turns of the knob, make large changes to boost. 1/4 turn for me raised pressure from 20psi to ~23.
