its there any downside to getting the used ones or will the used ones perform just as good as the new? the price difference is noticeable.

Ive run a used setup for the past year daily. no probs. If they do go out, the part # is right there...

I believe the warranty is significantly shorter on the used coil kits, understandably. I bought a used coil kit last year, E85 @ 30+ psi, no issues yet.
