AMS oil cooler on a MR?

I just found out the hard way that it doesn't fit on my '06 MR. I'll be calling them in the morning about that but I wanted to ask if, in this case, the AMS Setrab unit is even an upgrade over my stocker. I don't think the claims of 30% more surface area is applicable anymore. Are the higher row count and denser fins etc. still making the AMS unit better than stock?

Anyone been here before?

Ok, I sent in some pics to Andrew at AMS so I'll call him in a moment to see what he has to say. the MR cooler is wider, well at least mine is- '06 ix mr, so when I was bolting it up to the factory brackets it was a bout an inch too narrow. here:

The diagonal bracket is different from what's shown in the pics in the online instructions for this thing. I've already verified that my stock cooler is wider then the AMS by a little under an inch. I know I put it together properly. It's making me think I might be able to install a wider core but I'd be concerned with the pass. side ending up too close to the front bumper.

After looking into this matter a little further we found that Evos manufactured after August of 2005 use a different upper oil cooler bracket. We have made this revision on our website in the description when ordering online and also all of the salesman are aware to prevent this in the future. If anyone else has any issues or problems then please don't hesitate to contact us and we will resolve the issue asap
