holes in the block suck. It ll be close to 2 grand cheaper to build the block before the hole comes.

Trust me, it will cost more than 2 grand if you grenade the block! plus you are also taking a chance on destroying other stuff.

I was lucky, I only bent 4 valves on my head, it could easily have been destroyed also. Not to mention the hole I now have in my transfer case.

Most dont realize when the rods come out more the block is affected.. Turbos, radiators, tcases, oil pans, crank sensors etc all can get damaged.. the list goes on and on..

A house is nothing w/o a good foundation. Build from the ground up and go block 1st.

if it was a choice between getting either done i would get the block done first. Then put some cams and springs and retainers.. but the head is also a lot easier to do so it all comes down to budget and goals...

That's the set up I want to do. Thank you everyone for giving me your info. When I have the money the block is going to be first.

Now with doing the block first. If I get drop in pistons and the manley turbo tuff rods. What all do I have to do? Just hone to clean up the walls and then drop them in? Or is their more to it?
