Air Cleaner Bracket removal... help please

Ok so I am replacing the rusty air cleaner bracket on my 8. You know the one that houses the boost solenoid and has the vibration damper for the intake. Well, funny enough, I cannot for the life of me get that vibration damper off thus the bracket remains stuck.

Anyone successfully removed this bracket?
