After lower intercooler pipe install, problem starts.

I've just put in an ets licp, and whenever I go WOT past 3500 rpm, the car hesitates to pick up anymore speed (like air is having a hard time going through the pipes). But @ 3500 rpm if i keep my foot all the way in, it'll go normal then hesitates again. I checked all clamps and its fine. Any idea?

1. Has the car been tuned b4? If so, could need a retune as it cold be leaning out.

2. Did you adjust your boost controller after installation to keep your boost levels the same or maybe turn it down 2 psi?

3. Do a boost leak test if you have a leak tester. Here is a good one to keep on hand :

I have this one personally and it works great

search boost leak test..you can make a home made one for like $5..

either a small leak around one of the couplers, and then perhaps as the air is still taken in the coupler expands enough to close it.

or..the car is leaning out and therefore cutting back on the air taken in and you may need a tune. all cars react differently to differnt mods. like my mods are in my sig and i am only on an off the shelf map from cobb, i would perform better with a custom tune.

try getting a tune with it. my friends did the same thing, but it was because of the larger diameter piping. he was tuned and then it was all good from there

could be tune, but like everyone said sounds like a torn coupler or boost leak.

I'm thinking it may be a boost leak. Check all the couplers and connections and make sure everything is tight. Building a boost leak tool is the easiest way to find out though.

Thanks!

Michael
