Are you recirculating or venting to atmosphere? HKS SSQ doen't work very good on an evo. I used to have one and sometime stalls here and there. I got the HKS EIDS and everything was solved. If your all stock the oem bov is fine. but i did it for the sound, runs crappy, went back to oem bov. live and learn

Do you have it VTA or recirculating? If you VTA then you need to cap off the hole on the air intake where the oem bov was at. Im posting a linking that will show you how to recirculate which should be your best bet.

not a very smart idea to bring the engine to high revs then just put it in neutral, let the engine rev down if your going to do that, your only going to hurt the engine!

Well the BOV is def the cause. But if you must have this BOV, and you absolutely have to have it, get the HKS idle stabilizer. It will fix that issue. Some people say it doesnt do nothing and is a quick cover up, but my buddy has the hks ssqv version 2 and had the same issue. We installed the stabilizer and it fixed it. IT DOES WORK.

I bought one for my 5. I bought it because everything else in it is HKS, so I figured I couldn't go wrong... Wish I would have done some research first. Now it's just sitting in my closet in the box, brand new...
