take the top of air filter cover off and the air filter or disconect the MAF from the intake box and remove the whole thing!

 

+1 If you just want a nice sound and no stalling, get a IX and open air element. SSQ was also a common issue for other turbo cars lik my old VW.

 

well you cant disconnect the MAF. and i wouldnt be taking the air filter out either. i ran the HKS and just didnt recric it. car didnt stall and i didnt have any other issues besides rich between shifts.

 

after driving with this thing after a while and after saying this bov sucks it hasnt gave me any prob. at all . had my car tuned up and nothing for months now. just remember to revv down and not just to put in neutral .

 

or just go SD and all your problems will be solved! lol thats what i did nd love it!

I have the SSQV in my 8. Hasn't cause any problems.

 

VTA sucks unless you got speed density set up

Recirculating or not.......rather stay stock IX than that POS.

 

+1 I have had no problems with this BOV at all, I don't know why everyone says it sucks. I had no problems with the car wanting to stall when I kick the clutch in over 3K until the cam install, raised ISCV stevps a bit, problem solved. I understand a MAF set up meters the air and this BOV then vta but I log my car evertime I drive and it doesn't cause any real issues that can't be solved. Just my 0.02

 

That's weird I've had the hks ssqv installed on my 04 evo since it was nearly stock and I've never had any problems with it gl fixin it though

 

 

What makes ssqv so ****ty?
I want one becauseI love the sound, do you still get that high pitch noise recirculating?
