i still didnt do a boost leak , im waiting for a hose to fit on the turbo so i can put compressed air on it, how did u do it? just by opening the oil filler cap and putting 1 psi of compressed air on the turbo?

does urs idle around 850 , or is it all over the place?

There is a good How To to make a cheap boost leak tester on here. I had to make another one, as I loaned mine out to someone and never saw it again. Here is the link for it. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...er-5-02-a.html

Mine idles like it should when it's cold. When it gets up to about 160 degrees, the idle drops to a normal 900 rpm. It runs there for about 4-5 seconds then slowly revs to 1400 rpm. Stays there for another 4-5 seconds and then drops back to 900, and cycles like that over and over. The car runs fine while driving it, just at idle it's kinda squirly. I'm going to pull the IACV today and see if that's working correctly. I have to pick up a TB shaft seal also and change it as I have a small leak there as well. I know that can't be a new leak, so I'm not thinking that is causing the problem. Also, I'm going to swap out intakes and see if that will help. I left the negative battery terminal off last night, since last time when I recalibrated the MAF it was only off for 5 min or so. I'll let you know what I turn up.

so that means the small o seals are using in front , just where i see the bubbles coming from? how does that part come off? the front part where it is leaking, from where its leaking the part comes off with a special tool ? and under there are the small two 0 ring seals?

(my car is an evo 4) the seals are the same?
