Pretty much. I'll do a pump baseline on the black but more interesting is the 25 - 30-ish psi range to me. I won't be going past that until I do some block work later.

I'm not sure on the gauges but there has to be more options than just AEM. I personally have AEM so not sure about other brands.

FP Black? I thought they were meant for high boost application? Looking good.

its is ment for 35-40 psi range to see its true power potential but the AVERAGE evo owner will not have a built head or block. Hints the interest in the 25-30psi range. To much TQ will kill the stock block thats what your trying to avoid but in theory the black will produce more power at that psi then a red persay(it will def not be under as high of load conditions) and still keep TQ lower. Nobody has done it yet is the problem and why folks are asking. I mean come on do you have 5200 +cores+ shipping for a built block right now. if not spending 1999+porting+shipping sounds alot better to the average owner IF YOUR GOING TO GET RESULTS hints the interest in 93oct on stocker.

The proper way to do it is get a built longblock and then no worries about anything. again does 7199 sound tasty to you oHHHHHHHHHHHHHH forgot to add in extra money we cant forget the double pumper and other bolts on needed .

most would rather just do all the bolt ons and fp black and put down goood numbers rather then think about the extra 7199+cores

I understand. Wouldn't the Red produce better numbers with lower boost? Thats what I always thought when these turbos came out. I'm all confused.

NO. it will just get the power faster for sure then the black about 200-250 rpm difference in spool between the two. and the black does not have to work as hard as the red to produce that same power. BUT if your all about spool the red makes sense hell a HTA green on e85 can get you over 500whp and 500tq way quicker then both turbos but you better not be on stocker lol. blown motor

I'm still looking for the right o2 housing/downpipe combination before I put it on the car. I've given up on JM Fab (called them 3 times, no returned call or information) and am looking into other means to get a 3" o2/downpipe.

Wow, I just read this old thread and it is sometimes amazing to get a glimpse of the past. The stuff that these guys were getting into a few years back was uncharted territories. They were the true guinea pigs lol. I have major respect for these guys for pioneering the way of the future for some of the technology that would now be considered "common" these days.
