New FP red vs Old FP red?

I know the new one is better but my how much horsepowers?

I'm debating on spending the extra dollars to get the new one or just get the oldler one.

My mods r in sig.. What would I be looking at in power with new vs old.. I would get a cluch, injectors , n FMIC also

There is a thread on here comparing the 2, the 80mm housing does not make any more power over the 64mm housing. It just helps with efficiency at low boost.

Found the thread.

I am not aware of any back to back testing on cover swaps only.

maybe the only improvement would be if you went from a 2.5" intake to a 3" intake in the process?

I swaped out covers from the 64mm to the 80mm. I did not feel any power gains. It made the car feel smoother and more reponsive. When I boost to 30psi it does not surge anymore. It simply hits and holds. I love the sound as well. The cover is only about 200 dollars and as long as the turbo is out it is not hard to swap covers.

yea curious about cost of swap and install? I would assume you could get a 80mm housing from fp to put onto your existing turbo?
