california.. but still. that is a huge restriction on a turbo car that requires no backpressure.

you should contact road race engineering and ask for their stealth exhaust.

Ok, send me a check and I will. In the meantime, can you tell me how much POWA with the mods I listed?

maybe 280-290 at best im not sure.

1. its going to heatsoak on the dyno
2. the exhaust is going to kill power badly and kill boost from holding also.

depends on the dyno also.. whatever a stock evo 9 puts down on that dyno maybe add 50-60whp and that is your max. 91oct you wont be able to really run much boost unless it has a high ethanol content.

with 91 octane I would guess about 300awhp at 25psi
I plan to stick to a stock frame sized turbo.. perhaps upgrading to an evo 9 turbo down the road... Which size intercooler would you recommend getting?? Would a 3 inch suffice?? or should I look more towards a 3.5...?? And would you recommend getting headstuds also??

Oh and... I'm at 78k still on the stock clutch... Whats the possibility of the clutch slipping on the dyno when tuning??

thanks again for the great info.

a 3" would suffice as long as it's a good brand that uses a quality garrett core. I'm a fan of the offerings from Buschur, AMS, ETS and others. I had a customer bring a FP red car here yesterday and while it did make good power with the ebay fmic, after a run it would begin to pick up knock due to it's inability to keep cool. I tell most customers to get something like the buschur race fmic and it'll be the last fmic you'll ever need to purchase.

You shouldn't need to upgrade head studs, we have countless customers using the stock ones up to 500awhp at 30psi.

it's possible the clutch will slip, just depends on how much tq you make and how worn out the clutch is. Hard to say for sure until you try.

I see... my current mods on the car right now are the full tbe, intake, and licp. Everything else has not been put on yet until my tune date. Would it be okay for me to WOT? or is it best to hold off until I get a tune.

Thanks again!

I would take it easy until you get tuned especially if you have no way of monitoring knock and AFR
