Ok so this is kind of a what will it make/does it sound right. The car supposedly dyno'd(?) at 603 at the wheels on E85.

Stock block/bottom end
Cosworth 272's
FIC 1200's(pretty sure)
AMS fuel rail
stock(at least looks it to me) ex. manifold
AMS 3582
AMS FMIC
AMS DP
Tial 38mm
full 3" exhaust(greddy ti I think)
Hallman MBC(not sure of psi of supposed 603)
aftermaket IC piping upper and lower
walbro 255(not sure if its modded at all)

I think thats the gist of it. I'll have to check and make sure

So, do you all think the 603whp is right or achievable with these mods? Will a stock manifold allow that much hp? Single walbro? This is my buddy's new car and it just seems a little high to me.

Thanks

not a chance on a single walbro and e85.

Quick question for those that have seen bazillions of dyno results and estimate numbers.

I have a stock turbo IX with an HKS or Perrin intake (I have both, HKS on it now, Perrin is bnib). The exhaust is jacked. It was welded and mangled by a dealership to get it to pass inspection, and it is about 2.25".

I have a 3" HFC and a Tanabe Medalion Touring in my garage that are going on the car, and I also may put a Buschur-ported exhaust manifold on it that I think I'm getting in trade. However, as the flanges were cut off the downpipe and welded, I need a downpipe.

I've been told the stock downpipe reduces noise and drone, which are hugely important to me.

Are the gains going to be much different from a used stock downpipe vs. an $80 2.75 ebay downpipe on my modest exhaust? And if I put an aftermarket downpipe on it, will it be louder? I've searched and feedback is all over the place on both noise increase and power increase.

Youll gain a significant amount of power from even an ebay downpipe compared to a stocker, as for noise, youll learn to deal with it, but personally I wouldnt do a ported exhaust mani a catback as well as a stock downpipe still a restriction a major bottleneck between that and the cat conv. Go the *cough* cough* illegal route and pull that cat out for most power. But with a hfc youll still pass smog, and some hfc are borderline test pipes. Your intake will help some, do you have a fuel pump? boost controller? Id say tuned "right" with all these mods id give you 300-350 on a dynojet, and maybe 275-300 on a mustang dyno. Thats just my 0.02

ok so I finally got my car back last friday and needless to say I am very pleased. With a fully built 2.1 L on 31 psi with 93 + meth it put down 665.6awhp. My goal was to hit 600 so I am definately not disappointed at all. I really kinda feel that it has more left in it.

370-390 mustang dyno on 91

460-480 mustang dyno E-85

420-441 RRE on 91

510-530 RRE on E-85

That cast mani will be the biggest restriction, do you have the kit already?

No, I was going to order it in the next few weeks. Do you recommend the tubular mani instead? I heard they crack and that's a lot to spend on something that can crack with no guarantees it won't.

All I know is the cast makes less HP and has more backpressure than the Tubular, David Buschur himself will talk you out of his cast kit. I have had two tubular kit's none of them cracked a ETS and Buschur kit James Reese will say the same thing about the BR cast kit. But check this out if you want cast with tubular performance. Most of theBig names have a warranty on the Tubular kits also

t67 wtf? thats the laggiest pos turbo ive ever experienced. i would not get that turbo.. there are so many better turbos out there. my car came with a greddy t67 and it was horrible.

that setup will max any turbo you put on it pretty much.. mid 600's? theres a selected few good turbos for that power.. fp black, hta86, efr turbo, one of the new garrett gtx series turbos, etc.. lots of options.

the t67 would do it, but its gonna be as responsive as a black on a 2.0L so the 2.3 is going to 100% waste. that turbos over 5+ years old
