I would be interested to know the answer to this as well And please keep in mind, not all ported stock intake manifolds are created equal

We really need a thread that organizes the various intake manifold test result overlays and perhaps a link to their respective original threads, I wish I had the time to take on that task.

My IM testing was done on my personal evo, installed by myself and Mojomotorsports, and ran on the same dyno 4 days apart and conditions were kept to almost exact specs for each manifold. My stock ported IM was done locally and is more aggressive than your "typical" gasket matched/ported IM...

I really want to see the v5 up against the AMS. I love my v5 and wouldn't tade it for anything.

And lets' not forget the MAP REV3 Ported OEM Intake Manifold. I very curious to see the results. As of right now I'm debating on the AMS F1 or MAP REV3.

I'll make it easy for you... get neither. The Magnus v5 is the **** and best on the market if you ask me, and MAP wouldn't even run their own manifold on their drag car... Guess what they are running? Yep, Magnus v5.

Im sure the MAP ported is a nice stock ported intake.... but with the stock casting you only got so much to work with.

I know you know that big turbo drag cars require huge plenums. So, I think your point is kind of moot since their ported IM or the Wilson IM wouldn't serve that purpose. However, on an autocross or track car, a ported OEM unit might be better matched.

That's what welding extra material around the plenum and runners is for

large plenum IM's will make more power... whether it's NA, small turbo, or big turbo. The difference is the throttle response.

And there are powerband issues too. Larger plenums will make more power (if well designed), but also lose some in the low and typically midrange. Sorry for not being more clear
