good info, thanks for testing. Now only the magnus is left to be tested.

I'll echo what you said...very helpful information. I'm also keeping in mind that these results may not be the same on another setup.

Sean, nice work. It's nice to see good, honest people we can trust doing these tests.

I'm a little confused, so is the F1 going back on to do back to back testing? or the testing is done far apart and that is that?

If these test are accurate that means the F1 is worth 80 whp over the stock manifold.. mitsubishi has wasted millions of dollars on R&D

The DI manifold used in this test was Small plenum 8-injector. We feel that on a 2.0l would perform much better than on a 2.3l . The F1 has much larger plenum than the DI one. We do make a large plenum version of the manifold that would suit this test better. One thing is definite this car has to be insanely responsive with small plenum DI manifold.

I do feel that our manifold performed very well as seen in many many previous tests. This would be the first test that anyone done against F1. We made significantly more power over the new Magnus V5 manifold done by non bias individual. I would like to see what would F1 do against Magnus! 60whp over magnus? If that happens ill be a true believer that F1 manifold is the best!

It seems on the high boost both manifolds performed similarly and peak power was gained by the large plenum of F1. With large plenum on DI manifold it would be similar in power. It takes away responsiveness of the car. On low boost i would like to see the boost log as it was controlled only by wastegate spring.

These tests were done months apart and not back to back! Also the temps were little different.

Sean, can you also please post boost log?

I noticed everyone is all over AMS F1 manifold. Until i see F1 make 60whp over magnus V5 manifold im not a believer. Till than DI and AMS manifolds perform very equally.

I will try to stop by Ivey and go over the logs.
There is alot of work and time that goes into designing these intake manifolds, the more we know and learn the better products we can develop.

Thank you for the test Sean!

No disrespect... but if a test isn't back to back, with boost and afr logs, I'm really not interested in the results.

Im interested in the results.. I dont think Sean would try and make one intake perform any better then another by using more boost, leaner A/F etc as what would that gain him other then make him look bad and discredit his reputation that he has obviously worked very hard to obtain.... The bottom line is the F1-I made some more power... of course the guys that support other vendors are going to have dis believes and questions when the product they wanna see do the best doesn't. But as i said IMO it is what it is and i dont see how that is really arguable or debatable. The F1-I edged out the DI intake as seen here. Both are GREAT intakes IMO but again it is what it is.

Honestly since this is weeks later im wondering if the temps arent even cooler for this test then it was on the F1.... Im sure Sean will answer any questions you all have.. He has even stated, and these are his exact words... Please let me know if there are any errors as the car is still in it's current state and can be put back on the dyno for further testing.

I mean the guy goes out of his way to test intakes for everyone as we ALL have been wanting someone to do for quite awhile now... So he does it and now he gets people doubting the results.. Kind of rude IMO. I honestly don't think he would go to the trouble of doing the tests and put the results up there if he didn't think it was fair testing....

My 2 cents

great tests, those results are what i would have expected to see based on plenum volume, runner shape and tulip design. Almost mirrors the gains we saw when we did our intake mani testing of similar style intake designs (not 4G63 tho)

Raised stacks off the port floor = WIN. I think I spoke to you about this before Geoff... its the same results we saw on our engine dyno.

At least that is the big difference I see from the DI & Magnus to the AMS.
