Why are you only revving to 7k rpm? Thats lower than stock rev limit and these cars will make power well past 7K.

Quote: At the moment I'm making around 410hp @ 4,050rpm. (98 Ron fuel).

I'm thinking of changing the turbo and intake out for the following;
-FP HTA82 Black
-Shearer Exhaust Manifold
-Shearer o2 housing
-AMS F1 Intake
-70mm Thottle

I need a bigger powerband.. Like 3500 - 7000rpm rather then the 4000 - 7000 I have now..

all those mods listed will move power to the right.
you should try swapping in an 8cm housing for your current setup. I have run the 25g with 8cm. the 10cm is a dog.

i have big issues buying a cast manifold that has very little money in it, as opposed to a fully welded manifold that has 3 to 8 hours invested in it. yet it appears you can buy a cast manifold for the same money as a welded one. i can understand the manifolds wilson makes, with hours of cnc time making runners, and velocity stacks, but their evo manifold is similar in cost to what they offer for v8's.

Don't understand why??? The cost of a product is usually associated with the R&D it has in its product, not normally with man-hours. I'm not saying that doesn't play a part in it, but that's just a part of the R&D. Good companies put a lot of time, resources and engineering into their parts. They provide the public with a final piece that you hope has been validated to perform at the highest levels. I'm not comparing the two per se, I'm just trying to understand your logic. Whether its cast or welded, what does it matter if the R&D that went into that part delivers and has proven data behind it.

Is this a joke??? Ever heard of research and developement??? There are hundreds of hours of that into some of these manifolds.
If you knew anything about AMS you would know how the design and test products before putting out anything.

With the success of the DI manifold you can bet it had tons of R&D before they released the final version.

Shark just get the F1-I you wont be disappointed i guarantee that!! I just went to it from the VSR and picked up not only power on the top end but A LOT of TQ and A LOT of midrange. I was VERY impressed with it to say the least!!! I took the plunge and just trusted AMS's word as i have NEVER been let down by AMS or any of there products, and am glad i did as i wasn't let down yet again.

Say no more, if they only made a dual rail set-up they would make my day

i guess you guys are correct, i guess alot of my concern comes from the market as a whole.....all the r and d in the world wont make a single cookie cutter manifold work on a 2.0 or a 2.4. seems to me that if the premium price is asked for the part, you should have more options, like larger plenum or smaller plemum. as plenum volume have a large effect on performance.

The only problem is, that the 8cm struggles to make power..
