Wire tuck by my Tech Will! :-)

Before with the previous setup we were stuck around 604-602 wheel a few days go, after putting the AMS intake on WITHOUT DOING ANY TUNING AT ALL, at same 30psi boost had to be upped on the AEM boost controller, it belted out 63x, cooled it a bit and ran again 64x.

This is all done on 93 octane pump gas, and before anyone starts their nonsense this isn't an absolute test, your results could vary, but I believe that it shows a certain tendency.

We also tested between 2 different sets of cams back to back on this car, but we are not sure we are going to release the results.

For those in the area the car is still on the dyno.

Same gas, same boostleak test before both tests, temps similar. This is not a lab but we are trying to keep everything as similar as possible.

Looks like the AMS F1 took a dump on the Wilson.. Doesnt suprise me at all.. With the R&D AMS does vs. Wilson as far as Evos go its no suprise!!! Nice to see it didnt lose any bottom end either.. As far as i see there is 0 advantage to the Wilson V2 vs. the AMS..

Mike

I'm with you Mike. I talked to Ivey and am convinced the testing was done in a manner close enough to show those major gains to be factual. That's a LOT of power on pump gas, nice job Sean.

I think there are some people here willing to send their mani to Sean for testing. I really hope this happens, if Sean is willing to do further testing ofcourse. I think lots of people want to see the comparison with Buschur, Magnus, DI and maybe others.

Ok got back on the dyno. Ran the car a few more times off the wg just like I did with the V2, seems the difference isn't as large at the lower boost, but there is a difference.

Perhaps on this combo the F1I does better at increased levels of airflow? I will leave that for others to debate.

It is what it is. 2 runs on the F1I and 2 runs on the Wilson all off the WG spring. 17-18psi logged, as before.

Runs 58 and 59 on the v2 a few days ago, 71 and 72, minutes ago on the F1I.

those results have me very excited!! I have a locally ported stock IM which probably isn't as good as the Wilson(still is a very nice piece) so with the amount of boost I'm running and the hp I will be making, the Buschur SMIM should net me 30+whp gains if not much much more...this is a guestimate, of course!

glad to hear things are coming along well Sean, 640 on 93 is fantastic. Power gains from the AMS manifold should pick up more and more as boost and airflow are increased. The object is for it to not lose any power at lower airflow levels - the last test you did proved the AMS is definitely not losing.

edit: i hope we can finally pop on this twinscroll borgwarner turbo ive got sitting in NJ

Very nice results. I didn't think the AMS one would fall short. What are your plans as far as testing this against others?

For those of us living in California, I believe the Wilson offers the best solution if you need to look stock.

I did forget that yes if you need to look stock the v2 could work but again in MY OPINION is still not the best solution.. I made 711hp on a Buschur ported and 712hp on Wilson with same day testing..

Dropping boost levels and seeing the power come together makes sense to me and goes along with what I saw when I did all my testing. (Did not test the F1) I'd also put money on the F1 making more gains over the stock style intake on a stroker than it will on a 2 liter, this is based off looking at the plenum size. Larger plenums work much better on the 2.3's than on the 2 liters.
