I love how DI is all fired up to be tested!

Force-Fed... no offense but, you have 200 posts and I don't recall you being a shop that posts a lot of comparisons. I think Ivey or GST or any vendor that has been around a long time, people have a ton of respect for, and we know will do the right thing is the right choice.

To me Ivey's rep on this board is impeccable and his colleagues seem to hold him in high esteem. I cannot believe Ivey would post saying AMS's intake was better knowing full well it wasn't what was best for Sharkbite's car.

Anyway we just need Ivey or GST or whomever to actually say they'll do it then maybe the vendors of each manifold can decide if the tester is ok.

I am surprised we don't have shops jumping at the oppurtunity to run a high profile test of this nature. It seems like great PR to be able to show off your expertise to prospective customers on EvoM.

Maybe a shop is afraid that if they conduct a test like this they will damage relationships with vendors if they don't end up rating the vendors product highly? I would hope that wouldn't happen though because I think the attitude shops should have is, that if they don't do well, the sooner they know about the shortcomings of their product the better, and the sooner they can get to improving that product.

As far as I know buschur doesn't even know about this test as I volunteered my Buschur intake because I feel it will rank in the top and curious to see if this is the case. I honestly think these manifolds will be close as they share many of the same designs and concepts.

Agree. it's what I said before. It is quite possible that those manifolds will be pretty close and in the end it will be personal preference and price that will push buyers to one or the other....

So we have to cast and three SS.... Very interesting!!!

Ivey already has an AMS F1-I at his shop to test. He is welcome to do so.

Ivey is about an hour and a half to 2 hrs away from me so I may be able to go there and watch some of these manifolds being tested...

Sharkbites car would be a good candidate but the best way to do it would be to not test these with the boost maxed out on race gas. Shark's car on race gas has the turbo pushed to just about its limits. If a turbo is at or near its limits then gains might not be as severe with the manifolds as the turbo is running out of steam.

The best way to do it would be test his car at a boost level that the turbo is well inside its efficiency range. Also boost would need to be consistent across all manifolds. To properly do this you would need to sample boost at the turbo. if you sample at the manifolds boost can be slightly off based on how the MAP sensor is reading boost from that specific spot on the manifold.

If you perform the test with that set of criteria in mind and log it properly it should be a pretty straight forward test.

I will say it will be a great deal of work.

Great new - looks like this test may actually happen! So it looks like Ivey has access to the AMS, DI and Magnus - just need BR, Wilson and hopefully Ivery to confirm...
