AMS F1 vs Magnus V5
you guys can't leave out the Buschur fabricated IM (fits in stock location, uses stock/65mm tb, and mine has a billet adapter to mount the stock map sensor in the stock location)....I would love to lend mine, but it's going on my car next week

TO AMS and FP
I can supply my V5. It's a dual rail setup with FIC injectors. It's never been used or mounted.
Here is a pic of it.
Just let me know. I don't need it for a few months.

one asked to see the VSR intake test, that intake has been tested many many times.... why take the time to test it again.
all of the intakes are proven to make power... they all make power
I highly doubt you will see AMS test these intakes, they simply dont have the time..
Sharkbite should be the donor car!!
His car has the goodies on it to see what gains they would make
the AMS f1 intake looks good though, especially in wrinkle black

I killed 5 Turbo's with my right foot in less than 4 months, including a intake mani. I will have no mercy on part's or favor any company!!!
If it makes power you will know if it suck's you will know.
I'm interest of this test/shootout I may "lend" my Buschur IM to whomever decided to get this going. I would only send my Buschur fabricated IM if an unbiased reputable shop is doing the testing. I will not be able to lend my stock ported IM then as it's still on my Evo. My Buscur IM should be shipping out to me sometime this week.
so now we have 2 people that are willing to lend their manifold, one buschur and one magnus, now we need an AMS mani, and maybe also the DI. I don't think we can get a wilson mani from anyone for this test.
If i didn't have my VSR on my car OR had a spare VSR i would gladly send it in! I don't really want to take my daily driver off the road just to send a intake in that would most likely be gone for AWHILE... As I would love to see the VSR tested fairly for once. I know i have seen big gains on my car with it especially up top... And that's why i bought it was for the broad higher RPM power as that's where my car lives with my shift points being around 9,000RPM, not for power at 3000RPM as i could care less about power there on my car
If there is an intake out there that in a FAIR comparison with all values the same that out performs the VSR for my application and needs then i would switch to it in a heartbeat! I could care less about the name on my intake.. im after the POWER!

What Wilson manifold are you thinking would be the one to include in the test? The billet is very limited production, and you are unlikely to find one, and the modified stock manifolds are built for specific RPM ranges, so there's no across the board comparison that would apply...
I'm really hoping that the manufacturers are willing to support a truly independent test!
Shark's car is one of the most known out there!
I guess the IMs that we need are:
- AMS F1
- Buschur Racing
- Magnus V5
- Wilson
- DI
The result would make one the king and the rest probably to stop production, unless they are pretty close so then people would go with their personnal preference and loyalty...
Sharkbites ride will probably go down as the sickest street evo owned. I have seen some very sick evo's but the thought, money and parts put into that stealth machine, that car is just down right nasty!
I wish he lived in chicago, id pay him to take me for a ride, my measly little 500 hundy whp would feel like driving a miata compared to that thing.
I was being serious when I said his car would be perfect.
but im sure people wouldn't want to see testing on this car because he has more of a race car setup than what others drive.
meaning a race head / race gas / 950R turbo kit
To COLT:
the AMS F1 is nothing but an improvement on the VSR, it makes power throughout the RPM vs. the VSR which made a TON up top.
I VOTE SHARKBITE TEST CAR
I ALSO VOTE SHARKBITE COMES TO CHICAGO AND GIVES A LOCAL FAN A RIDE :-)
