Is running lean bad?????
Is running lean bad?????
I have a perrin cat delete pipe with 02 simulator but the simulator does not seem to work, and i know my car is throwing a code and the car is trying to fix it by leaning it out. But the main question is that i have been running my car with the cel on for about a month and i heard that it can get dangerously lean, is this true. if so is there any easy fixes or is there something i am doing wrong with the simulator.

I don't think your EVO will running lean just because that CEL. just send the O2 simulator back to them and ask them to send you a newer version of O2 simulator. I did that two month ago and NO more CEL for me !!

that rear O2 has ZERO affect on the air/fuel mixture, it is only there to test if the cat is working correctly, which is why it throws a code when the cat is missing....
FYI it is VERY bad to run lean, especially if it's very lean

Exactly right - the rear 02 part of OBDII. And remember, just becuase your ecu is trying to lean you out does not mean you are running lean
It just means it thinks you are running too rich!
