Boost Issues. Need Help!!

I'm going to make this short.
Here is my engine mod list:
Kelford 272
Ferrea beehive springs and retainers
Megan tubular exhaust mani
AEM intake
turbo xs recirc bov
forge wastegate actuator
aem truboost ebc

So this is my problem: Have done three different boost leak tests, and all leaks were fixed. I have tried two different ebc and two different mbc and they all have the same result. Boost is not smooth (sporadic and fluctuating buildup), and will top out at 20psi. No matter what I tried, maxing out all the ebc and mbc the maximum boost I see is 20psi with no boost leaks. Any ideas?

well if u already do all the leak test, i have couple suggestion for u. First, your mbc might leak, second, on the ebc, you have to adjust it right. Third, your bov might leak, Fourth, re check your wg actuator, it might need tighten up. That it. The shop that tune my car work on and check all these problems, that is why i know so much. Oh yeaH, what boost control are u using right now. I would stick with a electronic one. I had a hallman before, and it leak at 28psi boost. hallman suck.

I had a problem with fluctuating boost a while ago, it wouldn't boost more than 17-18lbs, even then it wasn't consistant. It ended up being my wastegate actuator. Not saying thats your issue but its something to look into.

Good Luck.

In your case, grillster, what exactly was the actuator issue that you encountered? Was it a simple matter of adjustment, or was there something wrong with the actuator itself?

the most common problem is the boost controller and the wastegate act. either tighten the wg, or get a heavy duty one.

Not sure exactly (diaphram maybe), it was replaced with a used one and the car's been fine since.

I figured since I tried 4 different boost controllers 2 ebc and 2 mbc that I am able to rule that out, so that leaves me the wga. Hopefully this will solve my problem.

we just installed a brand new fp red turbo, All we can get is 27psi out of the turbo. it came with a 18psi wg act. fp red can go up to 40psi. Found out the wg is loose. boost came on very slow. After tighten the wg, we up the boost to 32 no problems, full boost was around 4000rpm. wow
