i want to buy a set of valve springs and retainers to compliment my kelford 272 cams...what do you recommend i get?
i was looking at brian crower or manley...
also..some people said to keep the stock springs and retainers...but i feel thats just going to cause me more harm than good...
im looking to rev to 7500-8000rpm maybe a little past there but generally the only racing the car will see is a drag/roll race...so 7500-8000 seems reasonable to me...
thanks!!!

If you want to upgrade FP, GSC, and Kelford all make nice beehive springs designed to work with the stock seats and retainers for just north of $200. The stock springs should have no trouble handling 8,000 RPM though.
i have kelfords now .you probably already know this but they highly recomend it. i tried with stock didnt work out well. knocked hard as **** lol so i jus spent the extra 200 on the brian crowers and they worked perfectly.

B.C (Brian Crowers0 are amazing, get a set of those for your head. It's well worth the money IMO. I have those with the retainers, Jun Head Studs, and Jun 272 Cams and i rev to 8,500 no problem! **** is amazing!
So i recommend you to get the valve springs and retainers. Well worth it IMO! {thumbsup}

You guys should ask JohnBradley about BC springs/retainers; there is a reason his springs/retainers cost about the same as other springs alone
I can see wanting to save money on certain things which is fine, I do it too, but on engine internals...no way.
