Upgrade to at least a .170" wall pin. I would recommend using the .210" wall 9310 pin for that power level.

We run .250 in all of our JE sets. I wouldn't do anything less than the .225 that Wiseco offers as the HD. Those I know from personal experience are good to over 1000whp.

Not trying to take this off topic, but I just bought a set of CP Pistions....should I be upgrading the pins?? I'm looking for pretty big numbers so i don't want this to be a weak point.....

The problem I have is with the 4g64 build the HDs are 9.7:1 while the stock are 9.1-9.3: 1 compression. I would buy the HDs for the extra safety but the 9.7:1 is a little high for 91 octane where I live. I want to safely make 550-600 whp meth injected. What do you think ?

There are many manufacturers that have off the shelf pistons in lower compression. All of them will engineer a lower compression piston for 40-50 a set typically since thats the only thing changing. JE has 8.5:1 on the shelf and I am pretty sure there is an HD 4G64 that is also 9:1 or lower.

I have only seen 2 CPs recently, one of the GSC 2.2 pistons and one was for a turbo 700R Yamaha quad. The Evo piston had a heavier pin in and the one in the Raptor was a little smallish in my opinion.

When you order pins from anyone making the pistons you can order upgraded at that time and I am assuming that if their customer service is worth a darn they will sell them after the fact or exchange them for the price difference and freight.
