With amsoil there would be so little metal bits on the magnet that you wouldn't even need to wipe it off when changing the fluid. I stuck with Amsoil for that reason. You can see how well it protects the gears.
as for the AMSOIL why there are little to almost none metal prticles compared to many other fluids because simply is a synthetic and breaks down less and less under high temps.

its so bizare how some point the finger at the oil so quick and they dont look at the mechanical posibilities that is causing the notchy feeling in the gears, there are so many places to look at before one should even look at the oil for problems, MTG GL4 is a direct replacement for OEM Diaqueen.

1. re grease underhood bushings(change to brass if you haven't already, makes a nice difference when shifting)
2. Change transmission fluid. I have tried all the brand names and I am running Amsoil, best results so far.

3. If it's still a little notchy then your clutch could be on it's way out or something similar.

i will be changing the transmission fluid again . The car wont shift when cold at all, I have to wait 20 minutes before it will let me shift into 1 st gear. Am really disappointed . Been having nothing but trouble since i got the evo.

Amsoil isn't very good for syncros unless it is warmed up. It is probably great racing fluid for trannies.
