wastegate overboosting

I am having an issue on my car where I have the gate directly connected to the turbo, and sometimes the car overboosts the 15lb spring. Sometimes it will come up to 20-21psi.

Could a boost leak cause this? I have my suspicions the car has a large boost leak, from how it feels under boost....

sounds like boost creep. is it an external or internal WG? Also, it could be pressure difference depending on where your boost source and PSI monitoring source are in the system.

you say sometimes, does that mean the car goes to the 15psi gate pressure correctly some of the time? How sure are you that it has a 15psi spring in it?
